by Justin1114 2025. 12. 20.

The FIFA World Cup is the biggest soccer tournament in the world, and the 2026 World Cup is already creating excitement among fans. It will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and for the first time, 48 teams will compete. While anything can happen in soccer, some countries have a stronger chance than others based on talent, history, and teamwork.

Spain

Spain enters the 2026 World Cup as one of the strongest teams in the world after winning the most recent European Championship. This victory showed that Spain is back at the top of international soccer, combining their famous possession-based style with more speed and creativity.

One of Spain’s biggest strengths is its young and talented players. Lamine Yamal has become a breakout star, known for his confidence, dribbling, and ability to create chances even at a very young age. In midfield, Pedri controls the game with his vision, passing, and calmness under pressure. Defensively and tactically, Rodri is a key leader, providing balance and stability while also contributing goals. Spain's overall squad consists of high-leveled, elite players.

France

France remains one of the most dominant teams in world football after reaching the final of the last World Cup. Their consistent success on the biggest stage shows their experience, confidence, and ability to handle pressure in important matches.

Leading the team is Kylian Mbappé, one of the best players in the world. His speed, finishing, and leadership make him a constant threat to any defense. Ousmane Dembélé adds creativity and flair on the wings, winning the 2025 ballon d'or after having an incredible season in PSG. Another player to mention is Michael Olise, who brings creativity, strong passing, and goal-scoring ability, giving France even more attacking options.

England

England looks very strong heading into the 2026 World Cup, especially after the appointment of their new manager, Thomas Tuchel. Under his leadership, England has had an impressive start, winning all 8 matches in their World Cup qualification Group K without conceding a single goal. This shows how organized and disciplined the team has become, especially in defense.

England also has one of the most talented squads in the world. Harry Kane, the team captain, is a reliable goal scorer and leader who performs well in big matches. In midfield, Phil Foden brings creativity and quick movement, while Jude Bellingham adds energy, strength, and goal-scoring ability from deep positions. Declan Rice plays a key role as a defensive midfielder, helping protect the back line and control the tempo of the game.

Argentina

Argentina enters the 2026 World Cup as the defending champions, after winning the last World Cup. That victory showed their strong team spirit, determination, and ability to perform under pressure. As champions, Argentina will be highly motivated to defend their title. One of the biggest storylines for Argentina is that this is expected to be Lionel Messi’s last World Cup.

Alongside Messi, Julián Álvarez provides energy, movement, and goals in attack, making him a key player for Argentina’s future. In midfield, Enzo Fernández controls the game with his passing, vision, and hard work, helping connect defense and attack.
