2024-25 Summer Transfer Market-Premier League

by Justin1114 2024. 8. 30.

As usual, many players have transferred to new clubs again during the Summer Transfer Market. The Transfer Market has not come to an end yet, but I will list the top 5 clubs in the Premier League that spent the most money.

MSN

5. Tottenham Hotspur (148.85m euros)

Tottenham is now constructing a new team with young players under Ange Postecoglou. Tottenham signed Archie Gray for 41.25m euros from Leeds United and Lucas Bergvall for 10m euros from Djurgarden. Those two players transferred early to Tottenham and were part of the pre-season tour. Tottenham also signed Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth for 64.30m euros as they needed a new striker. Wilson Odobert also transferred to Tottenham recently from Burnley for 29.30m euros. Lastly, Korean winger Min-hyeok Yang transferred from Gangwon for 4m euros. Tottenham is showing that they will reorganize the team with young players for the future.

4. Manchester United (164.50m euros)

Manchester United is also a team that is re-building its squad. Leny Yoro was bought from LOSC Lille for 62.00m euros to replace Varane. Also, another center-back, Matthijs de Light came to Man United for 45.00m euros from Bayern Munich. Joshua Zirkzee transferred from Bologna for 42.50m euros and Noussair Mazraoui was bought from Bayern Munich for 15.00m euros to replace Wan-Bissaka. Until now, it seems that Manchester United has done a great job, but Manchester United's transfers have failed a lot recently so we will have to give it some time.

Villa News

3. Aston Villa (176.20m euros)

Aston Villa bought so many players during the Summer Transfer Market. Amadou Onana was the most expensive transfer with a price of 59.35m euros from Everton. This price is acceptable due to his young age. Ian Maatsen, a Left-Back from Chelsea also transferred for 44.50m euros. Aston Villa also bought young players to reinforce the team. Now Aston Villa is considered a powerful team in Europe so Aston Villa have to use their new players well to keep their development.

2. Brighton & Hove Albion (231.20m euros)

It was surprising that Brighton was the team that spent the second most money during the Summer Transfer Market. Brighton did not have any big signings but bought about 7 players that had over 20m euros as their transfer fee. Georginio Rutter, a striker, was bought from Leeds United for 46.70m euros. A young winger, Yankuba Minteh transferred from Newcastle for 35.00m euros. Brighton is buying new players that fit into Fabian Hurzeler's plan. Brighton is gathering attention with their transfers under their new manager.

1. Chelsea (261.00m euros)

Chelsea was the team that spent the most amount of money during the Summer Transfer Market. They bought Pedro Neto from Wolves for 60.00m euros, Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid for 52.00m euros, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester for 35.40m euros, and more transfers have been made to Chelsea. Chelsea is spending a lot of money nowadays under Todd Boehly. However, most of their transfers have failed for the last 2-3 years. It is important for Chelsea to not keep too many players in their squad, but to be wise during the Transfer Market.
