아스날: 빌드업시 조르지뉴가 내려와서 빌드업에 자주 관여했다. 라이스는 박투박 형태로 수비와 공격을 둘 다 잘해냈다. 공격시에는 라이스, 하베르츠 둘다 올라가는데, 윙어와 스트라이커의 간격 하프스페이스로 자주 들어갔다. 미드필더가 올라간 자리를 토미야스가 또 올라와 커버를 하였다. 하베르츠의 위치가 재밌었는데, 전반에는 왼쪽 하프스페이스를 주로 노렸지만, 후반전에는 좀 더 중앙에서 은케티아와 스위칭 플레이를 자주 보여줬다.
Arsenal: When doing build-ups, Jorginho came down to support. Rice played as a box-to-box midfielder, doing great jobs on both attacking and defending. When attacking, Rice and Havertz both came up to the space between the striker and the wingers. Tomiyasu did a great job of covering the midfield space. Havertz's positionings were very interesting as he aimed for the left half-space in the first half but in the second half, he moved closer to the middle, making transition plays with Nketiah.
뉴캐슬: 굉장히 강한 압박으로 빌드업을 저지했다. 뉴캐슬은 왼쪽에서는 고든, 조엘링톤, 댄번이, 그리고 오른쪽에선 트리피어, 롱스태프, 알미론이 삼각형을 만들며 측면공격을 많이 시도했다. 특히 오른쪽에서 트리피어의 킥력을 이용해 많은 공격을 진행하였다. 득점이후 지역수비로 전환하여 골문을 잠구었다.
Newcastle: They pressured a lot to interrupt Arsenal's build-ups. On the left side, Gordon, Joelinton, and Burn made triangles as well, and on the right side also with Almiron, Longstaff, and Trippier. With the triangles, Newcastle aimed for side attacks, especially on the right side with Trippier's accurate kicks. After the goal, Newcastle switched to aerial defending.
굉장히 거친 경기였다. 아스날이 주도한 경기였지만 결정력이 부족해 골을 만들기에는 실패하였다. 아르테타 감독이 하베르츠의 사용법을 많이 연구했단걸 알 수 있었다.
It was a rough game. Arsenal had the lead of possession for the most time but lacked finishing skills. I could see that Arteta had some thoughts of using Havertz.
뉴캐슬은 굉장히 많이 뛰며 선수들의 역할 분배가 아주 잘 되었다. 특히 전반전과 후반전의 활동량 차이를 거의 느끼지 못했다. 아스날의 공격 패턴을 읽고 빠르게 지역수비로 전환한점은 굉장히 좋았다. 결국에는 결과까지 가져오며 좋은 경기를 한 뉴캐슬이다.
Newcastle players worked a lot with good role distribution. I didn't feel any differences between the first and the second half with the activity level. They did a very good job of reading Arsenal's attack pattern quickly and switching to aerial defending. Newcastle also got the result which made a good game for them.
