맨시티: 스톤스가 역시 올라가며 빌드업을 전개했다. 왼쪽에서 그릴리시와 실바가 자주 스위칭 플레이를 보여줬다. 맨유의 후방빌드업을 저지하기 위해 압박을 강하게 가져갔다. 시티가 라인을 올려 경기를 주도했고 맨유를 압도했다. 가끔씩 그바르디올도 올라오며 공격에서 수적우위를 가져갔다. 후방은 커버속도가 빠른 디아스가 지켰다. 이번경기의 핵심은 실바였는데, 실바가 좋은 움직임으로 왼쪽 빈공간을 잘 들어가는 모습을 많이 보여줬다.
Mancity: As usual, Stones went up to the midfield area and led the build-ups. On the left side, Grealish and Silva transitioned many times. Mancity pressured a lot to interrupt Manunited's build-ups. Mancity raised its line and overpowered against Man United for almost the whole game. Gvardiol also came up sometimes to help the attacks. Dias stayed back and covered the defensive area. The key player was Silva as he made good movements by going into the open spaces and creating lots of chances.
맨유: 암라바트가 내려오고 맥토미니가 공미로 올라가며 역삼각형 형태의 미드필더 포메이션을 유지했다. 브페가 안으로 좀 들어와서 플레이를 하며 중원싸움을 도왔다. 지역방어로 시티 공격을 막아내며 호일룬을 이용한 역습 플레이를 노렸다.
Man United: Amrabat dropped and Mctominay came up which made an inverted triangle shape. Fernandes was having more inverted moves to the middle. Man United didn't pressure much but only defended the area with Hojlund staying up for counterattacks.
이번경기는 맨시티가 맨유를 완벽하게 압도하며 손쉬운 승리를 가져간 경기였다. 점유율, 슈팅수, 경기력, 결과 모두 맨시티가 압살한 경기였다. 특히 2번째 골장면에서 맨시티가 자신들의 특기인 패스워크와 반대전환으로 기회를 만드는 장면은 놀라웠다. 맨유에게 기회가 없었던건 아니지만 맨유의 공격진들이 너무 심각한 결정력 문제를 가지고 있어 골을 기대하긴 힘들었다.
Mancity overwhelmed Man United easily in this game. Possession, number of shots, performance, and results were all won by Mancity. Especially for the second goal, I was surprised how Mancity made their chance with short passes and moving the ball to the other side. It is not that there weren't any chances for Man United, but the forwards had some serious problems with their finishing skills.
